BAPTISMs

YOUR NEXT STEP

WATER BAPTISMS

One of the important things that should follow a commitment to Christ is baptism in water. This is an outward sign of your inward decision and is the true test of whether you have given your life fully to Christ. Baptism is the commitment to go on with God and be all that He wants you to be. We encourage you to take this step as it is a definite spiritual transition to your next phase in Christianity. The baptism class happens on the first Sunday of every month thereafter on the following Sunday the baptism ceremony will take place after the third experience in the baptism fountain outside the minor hall. We encourage everyone who is being baptised to invite friends and family to witness this significant spiritual step!

“With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” Those who accepted his message were baptised, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.”
Acts 2:40-41

“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life”
Romans 6:4

HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM

One of the most important moments in our journey with Jesus is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is a prayer that we pray that invites the Holy Spirit to fill us with His supernatural power. This enables us to reach our full potential as Christians and really get active in the Kingdom of God.

“Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. 5 John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit…But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
ACTS 1:4 & 8

“To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. 9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.”
1 Corinthians 12:8-11
